Polarised vs Regular Sunglasses

What’s the difference between polarized and non-polarised sunglasses? Polarized lenses are specially designed to filter out light and reduce glare from reflective or bright surfaces. Whereas, non-polarized lenses offer protection from light, but do not have the filter built in to block out horizontal light rays or reduce glare. Despite these differences, they both offer protection from harmful UV rays and preserve eye health.

Benefits of Polarised lenses
· Polarised lenses can cause distortions in the way wearers see liquid crystal displays (LCDs), rendering some cell phone screens, clocks, and other displays unreadable
Benefits of Regular tinted lenses
· Usually cheaper
· Don’t change the look of LCD screens
Downsides of Regular tinted lenses
· Don’t block reflected light, potentially contributing to eye strain and headaches, even with dark lenses
· Don’t enhance colours and provide the same clarity that polarized lenses do

Whether you choose to go the polarized sunglasses or non-polarized sunglasses route comes down to your preferences — and how you plan to use your shades. Many people gravitate toward the perks of polarized sunglasses, while others prefer non-polarized shades for a view that’s closer to that of the naked eye. We will always help you choose what’s best for you.
